The super duplex 2507 bolts can be used in hydrogen sulfide or H2S environments with careful consideration.H2S is a highly corrosive gas that can cause sulfide stress cracking and hydrogen induced cracking in certain materials.But 2507 material has high corrosion resistance properties and its dual microstructure is perfect for the H2S-containing environments.However, it should be properly heat treated and ensured that its properties are at par with application requirements like temperature, pressure, etc.Also, the Duplex 2507 U-bolts must be properly installed and tightened to ensure that there is no risk of failure.
- Alloy 2507 Hex Nuts material has higher chromium and other element content than 2205.Thus, they offer higher level of corrosion resistance in different harsh environments.
