A material that has great resistance to heat and collision is Inconel 601 tube.It is workably good and has good strength. It exhibits good resistance to case hardening or carburisation.
In its application, it is widely used in aerospace, heat treatment, power generation, chemical processing and catalyst support grids. With respect to engineering materials, 601 tubes are widely used which offer resistance not only to heat, but also to corrosion.
By its definition, both Inconel 601 and 600 are almost the same. But when compared between the two, there is slight difference.Inconel 601 is made by adding iron, manganese, carbon, sulphur and silicon, along with primary elements, chromium and nickel.
Inconel 600 has higher contents of nickel, and is recommended in use because of its high tensile strength. Both offer corrosion resistance nature, but when exposed in oxidizing situations, UNS N06601 tubes are more corrosion resistance than 600 due to higher composition percentage of aluminium.
This makes it more tensile and it increases its strength, when exposed to high temperatures.Another advantage of using an Inconel 601 is that it provides better oxidation resistance than Inconel 600, because of aluminium.

Because of low coefficient thermal expansions and nickel and chromium being primary elements, Inconel 601 seamless tube is non-magnetic.We can see its wide applications in dairy pipe, oil pipe/tubes, fluid pipe, it is used for heat exchanging.
However, with manufacturing techniques such as hot drawn, cold drawn, solid solution, bright annealed and hot extruding, slight impurities are found, which exhibit some magnetic properties. But the final product is non-magnetic.
Unique properties are provided by Inconel 601 and 625, but when it comes down to differentiating Inconel 601 and Inconel 625, it is seen mainly in their chemical composition. Both Inconel 601 and 625 have nickel as their primary elements, but nickel content in Inconel 601 ranges between 40 to 50 percent and more than 50% in the case of Inconel 625.
Inconel 625 is stronger with respect to tensile strength at room temperature than nickel 601 heat exchanger tube. With chromium content being high in the case of Inconel 625, it offers more corrosion resistance behaviour than Inconel 601 in oxidized environments.
There are wide range of applications when it comes down to using Inconel 601 tubing. From chemical processing to thermal equipment, it offers unique characteristics which make it an ideal use-case on a large scale.Following are some characteristics:
